A vehicle generally becomes eligible for U.S. import 25 years after its actual date of manufacture — not its model year. A 2001 model-year car is not automatically eligible in every year that follows. We verify the true manufacture date on every single vehicle before it's listed.
EPA and DOT requirements are separate from the 25-year exemption and can include engine-equivalency conditions for certain vehicles. We flag anything relevant to your specific car so there are no surprises at the border.
You remain the purchaser and importer of record. Our licensed customs broker files entry on your behalf — McMillan coordinates, but never takes title to your vehicle.
